Feel Free

This work reimagines the Gadsden rattlesnake as an allover pattern: coiled, multiplied, ornamental, and uneasy. The warning is everywhere and nowhere at once — an eye hidden in the coils, a rattle raised in the field, a pattern of signals: vice and virtue, caution and defiance, vigilance and restraint.

In a culture where a step in any direction seems to risk landing on someone else’s nerve, the timeworn slogan takes on a new tension. Tread lightly, yes — but never so lightly that you forget you are free to step, and others are free to step aside.
